Provincial-wise rural and renewable electrification plans, including programming of investments, maps and investment costing tables for various scenarios discussed with the Ministry. This will serve as a practical tool for national planning and programming projects with donor agencies
Development of capacity at national level on planning and use of the GEOSIM software, with the goal of having trained 6 persons by the project end who can then further train in khmer, based on user guides available in khmer. The hands on training approach aims to maximise involvement and empowerment of local authorities in the production of plans, working in close collaboration with resident experts.
Preparation of renewable energy projects for implementation, comprising technical, financial and contractual aspects with the goal of mobilising interested parties for actual implementation, including identification of project developers and possibilities for project structuring with the REF and other financing agencies
Dissemination, communication and mobilisation of industry, through the organization of a side event at the regional ASEAN Energy Business Forum organized annually by the ASEAN Center for Energy where the results of the GEOSIM plans will be presented, French and European suppliers would be mobilized. On an ongoing basis, all the results will be posted on a dedicated web site.
